Terms of Service

Effective date: the date you first sign in with Google.

These Terms govern your use of Likelihood (the "Platform"), operated by the platform operator (the "Processor"). By signing in with Google you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Platform Does

Likelihood provides online registration and payment collection for sports and activity programs. Registration data is written to a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive. Payments are collected through your own Square merchant account. The Platform acts as a conduit — it does not hold participant funds or payment card data.

2. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for your program operations, including fees, refunds, and participant disputes.
You must obtain lawful consent from registrants before collecting their personal information.
You must comply with PIPEDA and any other applicable privacy legislation.
You are responsible for responding to registrant requests to access, correct, or delete their data.
You manage your own Google and Square OAuth access grants and may revoke them at any time.

3. Data Processing

You are the data controller. The Processor processes data solely on your instructions, as established by your Google and Square OAuth consent. Participant data is stored in infrastructure you control (your Google Drive and Square account). The Processor retains only operational metadata (registration codes, payment status, program configuration) in an encrypted store on the Processor's server, sufficient to operate the Platform. This metadata contains no payment card data.

Your Google data is governed by Google's Terms of Service and Google's Data Processing Amendment. Payment data is governed by Square's Terms of Service.

4. Indemnification

You indemnify and hold harmless the Processor from any claims, fines, or costs arising from your own data handling, program operations, or breach of these Terms.

5. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided as-is. The Processor is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

6. Termination

Either party may terminate with 30 days notice. Upon termination the Processor will delete operational metadata within 30 days. Participant data in your Google Drive and Square account remains under your control and is unaffected.
